Picnic in the park

Good morning!  Getting settled into our new has been no joke this time around.  You'd think I'd be a pro at this, as many times as we've moved.  I really don't know what it is that's keeping me on task.  Maybe downsizing and figuring out where things should go wasn't the best idea I've ever had?!  I'm still determined to make our house an organized beautiful home without the clutter lurking.  I am really excited to hang pictures though.  That I am!  It's just hard figuring out what I want and where I want to put them.

With Sterling having a bum foot, our bucket list is not getting done too much.  As we went through it on Sunday, she wanted to go take a picnic in the park.  So we did.  There's not many things she can do because of the cast, and she hates going in public because everyone stops and asks her what happens.  She hates it!

She helped me pack all the lunches and planned everything.

She had the best time

While Xander was being his usual silly-happy self

After we ate, Xander went to play.  Sterling didn't think she should since sand would get in her cast.  But after her and I walked around exploring the flowers, she wanted to try to tire swing.  So, I boosted her over the sand and propped up her foot.  They loved it!

On Monday morning, we headed to the DMV for our anticipated 2.5 hour wait.  We went prepared with snacks, drinks, toys, and kindles.  Good thing we did, because it really was a long wait.  Glad it's over with now.

Yesterday, we headed to Lowe's (and a bunch of other stores).  This house needed air filters, so I had to buy a big ladder to reach the living room ceiling.  The house has been so dusty and I've never, never, had so much dust in a house before.  At first, I was thinking it was just from all the boxes, but I only have 8 remaining and 5 of them are in the garage.  It's just dusty.  When we moved in, we noticed the prior owners didn't have air filters in the vents.  Why wouldn't you put filters in, to filter out the dust and all the other crud that comes into homes?!  No wonder these baseboards were horrible and I'm still working to get those cleaned too.  Only the 1st floor left.  People...use filters and clean your baseboards.  You can thank me later 😉

Xander helped me push the ladder out

While I pushed Sterling out.  She only wants to go to stores that have carts, so she can sit in and then people don't talk to her as much.

I need to go to Ikea to get a bunch of things, but I'm considering paying the $59 delivery fee instead of taking the Houdini's.  Because every time I go, the play place is either closed or already reached it's limit.  I like going because I like to see all the things as I shop.  Tell me what you'd do?  Brave it with kids in tow, or keep your sanity and have it delivered?

I hope you have a great day!
