Friday Favorites

Happy Friday the 13th!  Do you believe in the superstitions from this day?  I'm linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for another week of my favorites (and one BIG not-so-favorite).

{One} We're still talking about seeing Incredibles 2 from last week.  It was a favorite amongst us all!  Have you seen it yet?
This game has been the best this week.

{Two} Getting ready to start homeschooling has been a favorite and stressor all at the same time.  I'm so excited that the kids love the idea of homeschooling.  Yet, I'm so nervous I'm going to fail them.

{Three} Using these Naan flatbreads as wraps is a game changer.  I've been dicing up cooked seasoned chicken, adding romaine lettuce, Parmesan, and Caesar dressing.  So good!  So simple and quick too.

{Four} Watching this girl scoot around like she did before she walked

{Five} This girl loves getting her hair straightened, and yesterday she wanted big curls added.  They didn't last more than an hour, but she still loved it!

The big NOT so favorite moment of the week?!!  Sterling falling off her scooter Monday night.  Then when things weren't getting better on Tuesday, we went to urgent care and they put a splint on her because the doctor saw a chip fracture on her heel.
I called her pediatrician to get a referral for the orthopedic, which we saw yesterday.  He confirmed the fracture, but, she has no pain from it.  So, he wanted to take another set of x-rays.  He found that she had calcaneus fractures (the official term) on both heels.  What!?!  But, because she's not in any pain at those areas, he decided to treat the problem from the fall.  She was still swelling and having pain on the top and right side of her right foot.  So, he wanted to stabilize her foot and cast it.

The little black lines on her heels show where the fractures are.  Crazy!

She was not happy.  She told Xander and I last night "I wouldn't be in this mess if you didn't get so close to me (to Xander) and if you didn't take me to the doctor (to me)"
She's so mad!

Xander was excited to push her out in a wheel chair.  I left her crutches at home thinking it was just a twist and she wouldn't need them.  Not knowing she'd actually get a full cast.  Yikes.  She couldn't walk on it until this morning, so Xander happily wheeled her out.

She's only in the cast for two weeks.  If everything looks good at her checkup, she won't get another one.  Let's pray because she hates this thing!  She wants to swim and the beach is calling for us.

I have a big to-do list for this weekend.  Let's hope I don't get sidetracked (because we all know it happens far too often) and can stay on track.

Have a great weekend!
