Birthday fun

Sterling turned 6 this year!  My baby is getting so big :(  We kept gifts light this year as well.  She received two gifts from us and then the rest were from grandparents.  We started giving experiences as the main gift and then two smaller gifts.  It was perfect.  Less is more.  Sterling's big gift this year was horse back riding lessons.  Girl loves her some horses so it was perfect.
All she wanted for her birthday was cupcakes for her class, a peppa pig cake for home, a pinata, and to ride a horse.  Her birthday was a success.
The day after her birthday was her friends birthday party.  Her birthday was during spring break, so she had it a few weeks early.  We called it an extended birthday fun day for Sterling, haha!

In between birthdays this year, we had a snow storm and were home from school for 3 days.  You guys.  We've missed a lot of school days for weather this year.  A lot!  We had fun playing in the snow though.
For spring break we took two trips.  I'll talk about the first one later, but the second one was relaxing. It's not normally relaxing, so it was especially nice to have some down time.  We went to GA and had Easter with my parents.
I think it's pretty funny how we're playing in snow one week and a few days later are in tank tops.

Xander turned 7 this year!  This sweet snuggle bear is growing up way too fast.  We extended our spring break by two days to give him his big gift.  My dad, Xander, and Nick all went to WWE Raw.  Xander's dream day.
He's a huge fan of wrestling.  I think i'll thank my dad for that one.  All he wanted for his birthday were wrestlers, cake, a wrestling game, and to see John Cena.  His birthday was a success too.

We drove the 11 hours back home after getting limited sleep the night before.  But, it was worth it.  And both kids slept in the car, which never happens anymore.  Can I get an hallelujah?!  We even stopped midway to play with our friends at a park.  It was the perfect breakaway from the roads even if it was for a short time.

One more post and I'll be caught up to start blogging regularly.  YAH!!
