Week in Review...Busy week!

This week was busy, long, and late nights.  Most nights I only had 5 hours of sleep and the kids missed 1.5 hours twice. We're all tired and cranky now and hoping to catch up on sleep over Christmas break.

December 11th:  Our first day back at school/work.  I started working Friday's so after being sick all week, it was nice to go into work.  The kids took in their Project Santa gifts and were super excited about it.  When we went shopping for the gifts, I chose $35 dollars each for them to spend. Xander choose a toy and a blanket because he says the kids might not be warm and they might want a warm-cozy blanket.  Such a big heart he has!

After work, we headed out to ballet

We also received their school pictures.  How adorable!!

December 12th: Thanks Grandma Naomi for the candy canes! They had them for breakfast :)

We then got ready and headed out to ice lessons.  On this day, they also had their winter program and it was soo cute!

The kids and I all had hair appointments

I finished Sterling's shirt to go with her pants

I also finished the parent gifts of my little friends in my classroom.

December 13th:  Blitz brought Gingerbread houses

The kids had a lot of fun creating their houses.  Although Sterling decided not to finish hers because she wanted to start eating the candy.  Priorities people.

December 14th:  I noticed my hair was slightly longer on one side, so after picking Xander up from school I was able to get my hair fixed.  While we were at JcPenny's, we picked up Nick's birthday gifts.  Xander picked out a pair of slippers and Sterling choose pajama pants.  They wanted to wrap the presents themselves, but I ended up helping Sterling. Xander did his all by himself and did great!

December 15th:  Sterling wanted to wear her reindeer outfit.  Xander has the best poses lately, ha!

I also put together the kids' teacher gifts. I found the printable online and quickly put these together last minute.

December 16th:  Blitz swung by.  Xander thought this was hiliarious.

Xander wanted to wear this shirt I made for him, but after seeing it on him, I thought he needed to change because the sleeves were a wee bit short.  He said he needed to wear it and he wasn't changing.  Next time, I guess I'll applique on the size 5.

I also found a selfie of the kids on my phone.  Silly kids playing on my phone and they look like they were having a good time!

They came to my classroom early and I only have 2 kiddos in the afternoon this day, so they were reading stories to them.  They all loved it.

This night, Xander had his Christmas program and he was so excited! He did great...minus not smiling an ounce.  He's so serious!

December 17th:  This was Sterling's big day.  She had her preschool Christmas party during school, then later that night, she had her Christmas program.  She had such a fun day!

December 18th:  It's been a long week and a lack of sleep. After work, we headed out to dance and Sterling through the biggest fit once we got there (30 minutes away!) because she didn't want to put her coat on (in the 30s people), so we didn't make it in to dance.  We buckled back in and headed home.  Not five minutes from dance and this girl was sleeping.  Oh, she's a mess!  I ended up driving around town for an hour just to let her sleep.

December 19th:  Happy 35th Birthday, Nick!  Blitz stopped by and put bows all over our cabinets.  The kids thought it was because of daddys birthday, so I ran with it. But at the time, I didn't even put it together when I was sticking the bows all over.

We had ice lessons again and both kids passed to the next level.  No more Snowplow Sam 1.  I'm actually really surprised that Sterling passed, but okay, we'll go with it.  Lessons resume on the 4th.

It was also my family Christmas in Minnesota, but with being so tired and exhausted, I decided we'd stay home.  I'll probably regret it, but I just couldn't see sititng in the car for 4.5 hours tired and driving.  Not too safe.  Hopefully we'll make it to Easter and the 4th of July celebrations!
