Santa Visit

With being sick for the first three weeks of the Christmas season, we finally had a chance to visit Santa on Monday, the 21st.  The kids had been begging to see him, but someone was always sick.  We all have been well (enough...both kids have runny noses and I have a sore throat today) to make the visit 4 days before the big day.  I called Mrs. Claus on Saturday to schedule our appointment with the best Santa in Omaha. Each family gets 15 minutes with Santa, so that was pretty awesome.  He's a sensory Santa so perfect for lots of little kiddos.  While we waited, the kids colored and played with the stuffed animals that were there.  When it was our turn, Sterling quickly jumped on his lap, where Xander was a bit more shy.  Again, stranger danger.  Which is good, but come on and smile already.  After a few pictures, he finally started smiling.  Santa is pretty magical.

Even I got in the picture with the kids.  Although I didn't want to, but they insisted.

Santa did the same poses with both kids, so I'll share a pose from each kid.

Xander asked Santa for a fire station.  We're good to go to make that happen.

He whispered that he likes chocolate chip cookies.  My kind of Santa!  I HATE making sugar cookies and now that this awesome Santa said he like chocolate chip, I get to make our favorite too. Win win!

He loved hugging Sterling and insisted on taking three pictures of them.

Sterling asked Santa for a doll.  Not a baby doll, but a doll with long hair.  I'm so relieved that she asked for a doll because I'd been begging her for the past two weeks to ask for one because her aunt bought a peppa pig house (her originial Santa wish).  I'm just glad it worked out and I don't have to unwrap any gifts.  She'll be getting the American Girl doll I bought back in March for an awesome deal.

Looks like Christmas morning will be a magical one for both kids.

TWO more days.  Are you ready?!
