"I'm THREE!"
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBS!
What a blessing this young boy has been. I can't believe another year has past and he keeps growing. This past year has been the most fun, yet the most trying too. I'd say the past 2 months have been the best. He's a total mama's boy and melts my heart. He's becoming such a boy and starting to love playing with "boy" toys. So much fun! He's such a loving, caring, and nurturing boy. Don't get me wrong, he still has his moments. But who doesn't? I still do too, ha! :).
He transitioned so easily to big boy undies. I don't know why I put a Diego on him at night, he never wets it. Since 2 weeks potty trained, he's been night trained too. Most nights he wakes up at least once to use the bathroom, but some nights he sleeps all night and still wakes up dry! He discovered a love for broccoli. He loves egg and bagel sandwich, waffles, spaghetti with meatballs...okay all pasta too, pb/j sandwiches, carrots, celery, apples, pizza, chocolate milk, peppermints, yogurt, goldfish, fruit snacks (although I see this ending soon). He loves coloring, painting, saying his letters, singing, dancing, watching Caillou and Daniel Tiger, being outside, playing with legos, working on puzzles, and playing his alphabet and word games on the iPad. He loves going to school and cries most days when it's time to leave. I wouldn't want to go home either, I guess. His teachers, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Ruth, and Ms. Ariel are the best and he tells them (or me) he loves them each day. He calls all the kids in his class his friends, but he speaks of Jon, Kama, Sam, Piper, and Madelyn often.
He's a wiz of a kid! No joke. He amazes me and I'm so proud to call him my own.
This next year is going to be awesome. He continues with school through summer, the moves on to Preschool in August! How fun! He's going to do so well.
More on Xander later...
I do want to apologize for disappearing from the blog world. School has taken over, only one month left, and this month is the hardest! My brain is fried and at the end of the day, I just fall asleep. A lot has been happening and I'm hoping to get the updates up this week. I did go through all the pictures finally, so now I just need to stamp them all. This past month has been crazy hectic and I'm now an old lady with bags under my eyes, yikes!
I'm going to leave you with this video. Because Xander's now 3, he can use his knives and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. He calls it "my cut" and Nick was trying to tell him it's called a knife. It's hilarious and I hope you can understand everything he says. We were dying laughing!
We love you to the moon and back, Smushy Bear!
I forget our kiddos are just a couple days apart. Happy birthday, Xander!
