On March 23rd Sterling was moved to a toddler bed. She was found one too many times trying to climb out of her crib so we went ahead and made the switch before she actually fell. The first 4 nights the transition was seamless. She went to bed, stayed in her bed and waited until we came in her room in the morning before leaving her bed. After that...well she must have figured out she was free and she's been out of her bed since. It hasn't been horrible because we can usually stand outside her door and tell her to get back in her bed, and she usually does. She'll then stay in it all night. Around 5 am, she's usually up and screaming for mommy. We usually ignore her (unless she's really demanding) and 2 minutes later shes asleep until around 615. At this time shes a bit more demanding. She has 4 requests every morning. "Mommy" is always the first thing out of her mouth, "juice" is next, "mommy's bed" is after that, and then its "eat".
Since taking the pictures we have gotten her a bedding set.
Xander is a typical sibling and likes to do everything Sissy does, so he had to go lay on his bed too
Sleeps so sweetly
The first week I was having to rock her for 15 minutes to calm and relax her so she'd stay in her bed.
Since we're talking about big girl, she's still very interested in sitting on the potty. She's still only pee'd on it twice and pooped on it three times. Slow progress in this area. One day it will click. One day. Until then we'll keep sitting.
