Hershey Candylane

Whenever we're with my parents, we always have such a fun time!  My parents are such fun people.  They like to get out and go to theme parks so this place was perfect to take the grand-babies!  We had such an awesome time.  The weather was perfect and the rain waited until we got in the car and headed home.

On our way up, we stopped right outside the city to grab some breakfast before heading into the park.  You know, to save money :)  It was a lovely diner.  The made the kids a mickey pancake.  How cute is that!

 We made it...

1st stop was to see Santa.  Xander talked about him for days before and since we arrived when the park opened, we decided to hit up Santa first so we wouldn't be standing in long lines.  Great choice!  We were the first visitors.
This is where Santa decided to shout out "ho, ho, ho" in his Santa voice.  Scared Sterling and she went running, ha!

Xander quickly hopped up on Santa's lap.  Told him he wanted a kitchen.  This boy and his kitchen.  I still don't know what we're going to do.  He just wants to make an egg, ha!

Sterling wouldn't sit on Santa, but she was polite and waved him goodbye.

After leaving Santa's lap, which they received a Hershey bar, of course, we went back around to take some pictures.  Who wants to cooperate?

We went on every ride that the littles could go on.  They loved them and wanted to go on them over and over.  This here we were waiting for the train ride.

Santa's Reindeer were there too, so we had to go see the magic!

We walked by the playing booths and I wanted to win the kids a bear.  My dad and I competed in one game, he won both times and won Sterling her bear.  She LOVES it!  Sleeps with it all the time.  It's her new favorite.  Xander's bear was won by me...well maybe the guy working there?  He was a funny, nice guy.  I was supposed to roll a bowling ball and not let it roll back towards us.  This guy working there helped out by having an arm "spasm" to help the ball stop.  ha!  I loved this guy!  He was awesome.  We played it twice to win Xander the big one.  He loves his too, but not as much as Sterling.  Thanks Papa for winning the cute bear!

After one of the rides, Frosty was out giving hugs.  Xander wanted to give him one, so he went up to him cautiously.  He also gave him a high five.  Sterling wanted nothing to do with him.

Sterling loved hanging out with Papa as we walked through the zoo attached to the park.  It was mighty small, but the kids had fun.

one of the million rides they rode

We waited all day for the light show!  It was beautiful...

And we waited all day to take a pic of the front entrance lite up...

Chocolate world!  I was in heaven

Xander was in slumber-land...the entire time we were inside.  Not even the wonderful smell of chocolate woke him up.  He was zonked out!

2 days later we were back on a plane headed home to see daddy and Hawks

That was our trip.  Thanks mom and dad/nana and papa for the wonderful time at your house!

Have a great day!

EOTS day 2 & Xander

Day 2 for Elf on the Shelf (EOTS) was fun.  Blitz thinks we need some snow around here for a snowball fight!  We should have some by the end of the week :)

Last night as we were getting ready to go to the gym, I noticed Xander was rather hot.  I took his temp and it was 103.6!  I gave him a dose of tylenol and took his temp every 30 minutes.  It was not going down, only up.  It was up to 104.4.  We laid him down early and he fell asleep quickly, but when I took his temp while he was sleeping and it was 104.4, I gave him another dose, but advil this time.  It's an 8 hour medicine, so I was hoping it would give him a little more comfort while he slept.  We moved him to our room so we could keep touch on his fever.  Around 1, I noticed his was cool so I moved him back to his bed.  At 7, his fever was back at 102.6.  So down, but not gone.  He's been acting normal today.  When he woke up today, I asked him if he was feeling better.  He said, I happy, mommy!  Love this boy!
Look how pitiful he was last night...

Now today, he's "happy".  I still haven't gotten around to decorating for the holidays, but I did bring up the totes today.  Xander came across the stockings and said "I Santa!"  Ha!  I guess Santa has fun "boots?"  Then I told him they go on the wall and he said no, they go on the door.  He then hooked them on the front door handle.

We didn't do an EOTS today.  With being up so much last night, I forgot after I got out of the shower.  I even had it all set up to do.  I just couldn't do it early because it would wash away from the shower steam.  Try again tomorrow.  Hoping Xander gets better because tomorrow he starts back with PDO and he's really excited about seeing Ms. Kelly.  He talks about her all the time!

Have a great day!

Elf on the Shelf...day 1

One of my favorite traditions during Christmas time has come.  Our friendly Elf, Blitz, arrived at our home this morning.  He left the kids a cute little message letting them know to be good little kids, along with some mini donuts and snowman bananas.  There was also a gift bag with color bath tabs, lots of peppermint and a chocolate Santa.

"mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mommy look!"

Sterling climbed right to her chair and scoped things out

Xander loved the donuts and of course Sissy didn't.  She ate her bananas though, without all the stuff on them.

Have a great night!
