Weekend WrapUp

This weekend was the most anticipated weekend of December.  Sterling was in the parade for her dance company.  She was so excited!  She mentioned it to anyone she talked to.  I was nervous that we weren't going to find her float, but after asking around we finally found it.

It was a freezing cold weekend, but she refused to wear a winter coat under her sweatshirt.  She wore a fleece under and stayed warm.  Except her hands.  She's so stubborn though.

Waiting for the parade to start

These little cars were fun to watch

The Grinch was driving a train

I think the princess felt like they were back in Arendelle.  They had to be freezing.

Oh my.  So, so cute, but must be freezing.  I wouldn't have let Sterling walk through the parade without any pants on.  It was just too cold.

Fake snow...before the real stuff

Sterling's in the blue pants

We woke up Sunday morning to snow.  I didn't think we'd actually get any.

The kids couldn't wait to play in it.  We made some make shift snow pants.

It was raining instead of snowing when they headed out.  And it's still raining today.  I hate the rain.

Xander shoveled the driveway and earned $5.  He was so dedicated.  I told him he didn't have to and he should come in and warm up, but he wanted that $5.

Schools are closed in the area today.  Of course.

We played a few games.  Our favorite right now has been GoFish.  But we added in Sorry and Pictionary.

He drew a woodpecker.  We didn't guess it right, but after he told us, we were all...oh!

We ended our weekend with Ralphie.  We love this movie.

Our elf has been going strong.  They've only forgotten to move once.  But they forgot to take their old props away one morning and the kids saw them.  I basically allow those elves to come into our home for fun.  They are not here to threaten the kids to "be good".  They already know what is expected of them each day, not just in December.  So, we don't have reminders.  Well, Sterling is constantly reminding me NOT to touch their elves.

Have a great day!
