Over the weekend, we had a kids style dinner party. It was the perfect ending to our day.
Prepping for this night was something the kids and I had been planning for weeks. It was supposed to happen on our 17th anniversary, but Nick didn't make it home until the day after. So, on Saturday afternoon, the kids created a menu and I made up some strawberry cupcakes. The kids also wanted to dress up.
I made a chicken southwest cobb salad and the kids helped plate the salads and serve the plates. They had a blast serving Nick and I. I made this recipe and adapted it to our liking. It was soo good!
The cupcakes were yummy!
After cleaning up the dinner mess, we put on a dance party with a disco ball. So much fun! We decorated earlier in the day, but told Nick he couldn't peek. He's such a good sport, ha!
And we danced our night away.
It was such a fun night. Not something we'd typically do, but such a fun memory before Nick leaves for such a long time. Trying to get in all the memories while we can.
Have a great day!
