After arriving home from our fun week at my sisters house, the kids started day camp for two weeks. I planned it for when the packers would be at the house so they wouldn't be in the way. And it worked out perfectly! At first I signed them up for a half day program, but then my marbles rolled into place and I added the full day program. It was an outdoor camp from 830-5 Monday-Thursday. It was a HOT week and these two were a sweaty mess. But they had the best time!
Every morning we'd have more and more flowers missing from our front flower bed (that the landlords just redid). The culprits were bunnies!
As I was clearing cabinets and organizing things for the packers, these two made use of their imagination and created a stage for their figures.
I also came across a pacifier in Xander's baby box. We decided it could go to the garbage. Although he really wanted to keep it and sleep with it at night. Crazy kid!
I also decided that I needed to get some embroidery done before my machine was packed away. Priorities first :)
Sis has been waiting since May for me to get this dress done. She's been wanting to wear it. And she loves it!
My mom came up to help with the kids and make the drive with me. Which, she drove all but 1.5 hours. ha! But...she LOVES to drive so I let her (because I hate it!) :) We were lucky to have her for three weeks!
The packers arrived and boxed up our rooms the first day. They cut out around 3, so it made for an early day.
These two came home from camp and we made forts out of the boxes. Perfect entertainment!
Day two of packing and they had WAY more than they thought they did. They were rushing towards the end and didn't even get everything in boxes. But they made sure to end their day at 430.
Day 3 the loaders arrived. They weren't too happy with their packers from the prior days. A lot was left undone and it made for a LONG day for them. It was around 6:15 when they finished.
Being silly!
It was so hot because my mom and Nick thought it was necessary to cut the air off in the house since the doors were open all day.
So hot that we went up to McDonald's to grab ice cream cones (and maybe we stayed a bit longer to sit in the cool air, ha!)
