Weekend happenings

Nick worked all weekend, so the kids and I worked on yard work, went to a party, and ran some errands.

Friday after school, dance, and conferences, Xander passed out.  Thursdays and Fridays are extremely rough for him.  Conferences went great for him.  I knew he'd get a near perfect rating, so I wasn't too concerned.  I knew one area that he needs to improve is his social skills with his peers.  As in, rather than getting upset that his friends don't want to play what he wants to play, he should be talking it through with them.  One other area to work on is following rules.  Boys!  That's all I need to say for this busy one!

I love how he places his hands behind his head to rest.  So adorable!

Saturday morning Nick got home at 630.  The kids and I headed outside to work on the flower/tree bed in the front of the house.  Came back in at 1230 for lunch, showers and to get ready for Sterling's friends' birthday party.

At the party, there was a clown.  She had an Elsa balloon made and her face painted.  She bounced in a bounce house and ran around with some of her preschool friends for 2 full hours.

There was also a pinata at the end.  Sterling has never done one before so she didn't know what to do.  I had to guide her to pick up some of the loot off the ground, lol. She had a blast!

First thing Sunday morning, we headed to the park.   I thought it would be fun to go to the downtown park.  I was right, the kids loved the HUGE {dark} slide.

Sterling was afraid to go all the way to the top for the longest time.  But she finally had enough courage to make her way to the top and went down the big slide.

Tire swings are always fun

After the park, we ran to Home Depot for more mulch and then Wal-mart.  After we got back home, we spent the next 3 hours outside finishing up the yard work.  I'm glad that task is checked off, now just regular maintaining is needed.

Two busy weekends left of school then I will be free until August of any homework!  Can. Not. Wait!

Now I'll give you a glimpse of Sissy expressing displeasure.  Enjoy!

(The first video is because she didn't want a diaper change and the second video is because she didn't want pajamas on)

Have a great day!
