Christmas break and Winter fun

Good morning!  Two days after our cruise, it was Christmas morning!  We kept Christmas light this year and I had everything ready before we took our trip.  During break we played, acted silly, and had some fun.  We even had a play date with Sterling's best friend.  There was also time for learning ;)

There have been so many fun dress up days at school.  Hat day.  Character day.  Vocabulary Parade.  Silly outfits.  Plus many more.  It's been a fun year so far.
We're obsessed with playing games.  Every day we're playing something.
There were a few nasty storms this year too.  We had a large tree fall, luckily not on the house.
We've also hit the stage where the kids LOVE being outside.  It's been a cold year, we're just now getting into the 70s.  It's made playing outside more fun because then you can warm your toesies up by the fire.  I'm hoping that when it starts getting hot, they'll still want to spend hours outdoors.

The kids made leprechaun traps this year.  It was inspired because Xander had to do it for his class so Sterling decided she wanted to make one for home too.
The kids music classes performed one evening and it was the sweetest sound ever and the kids had fun.

Up next are some birthdays :)

Disney Cruise Days 4 & 5

We woke up to a day at sea on day 4.  We smashed the day running all around the ship getting pictures with characters.  We opted early on in our trip to not do signatures, just pictures.  I have a fun idea that I'm going to put the pictures to use.
Both kids were transformed and they were able to walk down the grand staircase as Princess Elsa and Knight Xander.  They loved it.
I don't have a picture in the collage, but they also had a baby dash event and it was the cutest thing ever!

There was the cutest dance party with all the characters and my kiddos were right up front and center on all the characters.  Sterling had the time of her life dancing and Xander just wanted to be right next to them.  All the characters took turns rotating stations so the kids didn't have to.
We had special tickets to visit with Anna and Elsa.  It was a magical surprise to see the dining room transformed into Arendelle.
Stitch may have been Xander's favorite character.  He was so fun with the kids.  He was hiding behind the poles and jumping all around.  Just a fun time.

After dinner, we set our bags out and called it a night.  Day 5 we left the ship {bright and early} and it was so hard.  Xander cried for a few days.  He's still talking about our fun times on the ship and is really excited about our next cruise.  Me too :)  We had vacation hangover all through the airport and we all slept great when we arrived home.

Have you taken a cruise?  It's seriously the best way to vacation.

Disney Cruise Day 3

Happy May Day!  Does anyone still celebrate this awesome day?  As I kid, it was my favorite day of the year :)  I'm going to bring it back for my kids ;)

Good morning from Castaway Cay.  We lathered up in sunscreen and hit the beach early.  The kids loved playing on the islands water playground.  I walked around watching the kids have the time of their lives.  Nick stood in long lines to get some yummy adult drinks.

After a few hours of playing in the water and sand, we planned to head back to the ship, but, we had a better idea.  We rented a paddle boat.  It was so much fun.  After we were done with that, the kids wanted to go to the beaches kid club.  So off they went and then Nick and I rented the water trikes.  It was so fun, yet scary because I didn't feel stable.  It was nice to just get away, the two of us.

We spent 7 hours on the beach!  There were so many photo ops on the way back to the ship.  After getting back on board, we took showers and relaxed for about an hour.  Then it was time to celebrate Pirate night and head off to dinner.  We were hoping to see the fireworks from our balcony because we were all so tired from all that fun in the sun, but we couldn't.  I guess if we were on the other side of the ship we would've.

We slept GREAT that night!  Day 3 was the BEST day ever.
