Linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for Friday Favorites.
We hit up our new favorite splash pad to cool off after playing soccer one afternoon. We’re currently having (hopefully) our last heat wave of the summer, so I might just take them one more time before the water is turned off on Monday.
My cousins came to town a few days after we returned from our vacation so we went to the zoo with them and then Xander and I went to dinner as well. It was a fun and exhausting day.
I received Sterling’s winter coat in the mail. Thanks to Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale we were able to score a great deal on the same style coat as she’s had the past two years. She was happy and wore it the rest of the night. Now all we’ll need to pick up for winter is winter boots for Bubs. North Face coats are our favorites to stay warm.
We went to preschool open house on the 26th (Sterling’s) and 31st (Xander’s). Xander had to show Sis all the girl toys that he thought would be her favorites.
Sterling officially started preschool on Sept 1st. I say officially because she always called PDO preschool, which is not anywhere close educational wise. She was so excited and did great! I’m so proud of her. She had a rough last four months at PDO and in May I didn’t think she’d willingly walk through the doors again. But, she did. And with a glowing smile on her beautiful face. I think one reason she’s having a great start is because it’s a new classroom and she’s loving her teachers. We saw one of them in the grocery store the other day and she kept saying, Ms. Lisa, over and over until we found her at the checkouts as we were getting ready to check out. Sweet girl.
Bubs wanted Sis to sit down for the picture, so she did.
While Sis went to Preschool, Bubs went to PDO while I started my big day.
I started working. Sure did. I didn’t really think I’d work again until Nick retired, but a great opportunity came along and I jumped on it. I’m working at the kids’ school, so how much more perfect could things get? Not much! I’m working three days a week in the nursery of PDO. I love it! I’m excited to be a part of their team. I’m definitely working to be a favorite to all those sweet babies . And since it’s taking years to get pregnant again, I’ll get my baby fix with these little ones! Perfect remedy. Right?!?
On the 2nd Xander started Pre-K. Such a big boy and was so excited to have Ms. Shelly as his teacher this year. He’s going to do great this year!
Look at these two sweet siblings last year on their first day of Preschool/PDO.
I love them, their my FAVORITE!
Have a great weekend!
